Ms. Jodi Graham Wood Hornist Jodi Graham Wood performs with the Mobile Symphony and Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestras and currently teaches horn and music appreciation at the University of South Alabama. Prior to moving to Mobile, she served on the faculty at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa and played principal horn in the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra and fourth horn in the Sioux City Symphony. She has also performed with such groups as the Sioux City Municipal Band, the Wood Family Chamber Players, the Bloomington (IN) Symphony Orchestra, and the Columbus (OH) Pro Musica. She has recorded on the MSR Classics label. Wood earned the Master of Music degree in horn
performance at Indiana University-Bloomington, where she studied
with Michael Hatfield, and the Bachelor of Music degree in horn
performance at The Ohio State University, where she studied with
Charles Waddell. Wood also holds the Master of Computer Science
degree from Indiana University, where she worked as a developer of
computer software applications in music. She lives in Mobile with
her husband, trumpeter Peter Wood, and their three children. |
